The rapid collapse of the Afghan security forces and the Taliban’s seizure of power in Afghanistan is bound to have a wide range of strategic and geopolitical implications, both regionally and internationally. As the world’s powerful armies make a retreat, the international community is dreading a reign of terror on Afghan soil.
