The Abkari Policy 2023–24 aims to relax the toddy regulations, allowing three star and above hotels and resorts to serve freshly tapped toddy from their premises to guests during peak tourist seasons. The policy, however, has not included homestays within its ambit.
The aim of this consultation was to facilitate a comprehensive discussion among stakeholders on the potential implications of the Abkari Policy on Homestays and suggest possible changes with a focus on livelihood and tourism development.
