The book titled ‘A Vision for Higher Education Reform’ edited by Dr D Dhanuraj and Rahul V Kumar will be launched on July 17, 2019 at 5:30pm at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology,Kakkanad. Mr. M.P.Joseph, IAS (retd) Former Advisor to Government (Labour Reforms, Industrial Relations), will release the book. The book launch will be part of the 50th Rajagiri Round Table Conference themed around “Draft New Education Policy: A vision on higher education” to deliberate on the changes mooted in the higher education sector.
This book is a collection of articles and opinion pieces contributed by the research team of Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR), a public policy think tank based in Kochi, Kerala, to Pallikkutam, a monthly education magazine published by the Rajagiri Media, Kochi. The articles are intended for studying the various challenges affecting the education system – both school and higher education- in India, with a focus on the state of Kerala, and suggesting policy alternatives to tackle them. The book probes the real problems of the Indian education system and guides us towards a future model for the system, articulating an ambitious vision for higher education reform.
