The report “Expanding Bus Connectivity on the HMT Colony – NUALS Route in Ernakulam” examines the critical need for enhanced public transportation on this key route in Kochi, Kerala. The study, by CPPR’s Urban Fellows Gokul K Sunoj and Meghna Santosh, highlights existing challenges in the public transportation system, including poor planning and reliability issues. It aims to assess current bus connectivity and propose sustainable solutions to improve service frequency and coverage. This effort is vital for fostering equitable regional development and supporting vulnerable populations.
