Despite their broad reach and growing role in India’s education ecosystem, low-fee private schools continue to operate under considerable strain, with many facing a complex and rigid regulatory environment. Meanwhile, the quality of learning remains a persistent national challenge. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 acknowledged this misalignment and called for a paradigm shift from input-centric to outcome-oriented regulation, with a renewed emphasis on learning achievements over infrastructural checkboxes.
However, five years since the introduction of NEP, the implementation of this vision remains uneven. As India envisions improving its educational outcomes, it’s essential to address critical questions—what truly drives learning, what systemic barriers continue to hinder quality, and how we can redesign systems to raise the bar for all learners.
This webinar, a part of the CPPR Edupreneur project, aims to probe these critical issues by examining how policy, regulation, pedagogy, and assessment must evolve to meet the moment.
