With the change in power dynamics, multilateral forums have played a key role in increasing India’s influence in the international system. The forums have been looked at as a platform for India to showcase its leadership capabilities. The article discusses various approaches taken by Modi administration from 2014 to 2019 towards multilateralism. The distinction observed in India’s participation in regional and inter-regional forums is also explored.
