The report delves into the introduction of shared mobility, particularly the use of small vehicles catering to the unique transportation landscape of Kochi. Addressing the challenges posed by narrow roads and limited public transport access, our findings emphasize the significance of a well-defined regulatory framework. We examine the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019, as a catalyst for empowering the state government to implement shared services effectively. The recommendations aim at establishing a structured and efficient shared mobility system, envisioning Kochi as a model city for innovative and adaptive urban transportation solutions.
