Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France as the Guest of Honour at the National Day of the French Republic on July 13 and 14, 2023 marked a significant milestone in the bilateral relations between India and France. The occasion marked 25 years of the Indo-French partnership and laid down the groundwork for cooperation in multiple domains like defence, trade, climate change etc., for the next 25 years to come. The ‘Horizon 2047’ communique issued after the recent visit, talked about the future of this bilateral Partnership for security and sovereignty, for the planet and for the people.
