In August 2018, Kerala witnessed the worst natural calamity in a decade causing a stress on the economy that has been in the doldrums for a considerable period of time. Immediate evaluation and rethink on the policy actions for rebuilding the state are required. The policy brief is a response to the Rebuild Kerala initiative and identifies major challenges and suggests measures to revive the state economy.
