D Dhanuraj, Chairman of the Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR), shared his views on the challenges of street vendor rehabilitation in Kochi in an article published by The New Indian Express.

Dhanuraj highlighted the need for an oversight committee to facilitate effective rehabilitation and noted that suitable locations for street vending zones had been identified through a CPPR study. He also suggested developing dedicated spaces such as food streets or specialised markets that could support vendors while attracting more people.
