COVID has economically impacted athletes and various sporting events around the world, and also industries associated with sports . Indian Olympics Association has requested Sports Ministry for One-time Grant of Rs. 220 Crore to meet financial crisis effecting the sports federations due to COVID, which is almost equal to the budget allocated to National Federations of Rs. 214 Crore in the Union Budget of Rs. 2827 Crore.
