Centre for Public Policy Research was awarded to conduct an “Evaluation Study on Transition Rate and Dropout Rate among Girls and ST’s” by Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, Kerala (SSA). The Study was to be conducted in the Districts of Wayanad and Palakkad which reported higher dropouts.
The Objectives of the Study were:
1.To understand the school enrolment rate of ST and girl students at the Lower Primary, Upper Primary and Secondary Levels in the districts of Wayanad and Palakkad
2.To study the drop-out ratio of the ST and girl students while moving from one class to another in Wayanad and Palakkad districts
3.To compare the transition ratio of ST and girl students at the Lower Primary, Upper Primary and Secondary Levels with the total student population in the areas of Wayanad and Palakkad
