Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) oragnised a panel discussion on January 14, 2021 (Thursday) on “Responding to Covid-19: Reflections & Lessons from Kerala, India and China” as part of the release of CPPR’s research paper titled “Comparative Study on COVID-19 Outbreak in the Hubei Province of China and the Indian State of Kerala“.

The panelist for the discussion were Mr Rajeev Sadananadan IAS (Retd), CEO of Health Systems Transformation Platform, Honorary Advisor to the Chief Minister of Kerala on management of the COVID Pandemic, and Former Additional Chief Secretary of Government of Kerala in-charge of Health and Family Welfare; Dr K N Raghavan IRS, Chairman and Executive Director of Rubber Board, Government of India; Dr Reuben Abraham, CEO of IDFC Foundation and IDFC Institute. The introductory remarks were given by Mr Muraleedharan Nair who is a Senior Fellow, CPPR and former Indian Consul who served in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Singapore; and Mr P K Hormis Tharakan IPS (Retd), Advisor to CPPR and former Chief of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and Director General of Police of Kerala, gave the concluding remarks. The session was moderated by Dr D Dhanuraj, Chairman and Managing Trustee, CPPR.
