Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) and Asia Centre for Enterprise (ACE) is proud to launch the ‘CPPR-ACE Summer School: Public Policy Research Methods’ in 2012. The first program of the Summer School will be a month-long training on Public Policy Research Methods for researchers from around Asia. The objective of the program is to equip researchers with the necessary tools and techniques to produce outstanding research in terms of both originality of thought and approach.

Scholarships and travel grants are available for deserving candidates.SYLLABUSThis month-long course for aspiring public policy researchers seeks to equip them with the necessary tools to conduct original primary research and produce high-quality research that is not solely based on secondary data. The course aims to break barriers by introducing its participants to different research methodologies and will in turn encourage them to develop new analytical tools and perceive their sample variables differently. The course parameters will broadly cover the following:• General aspects of research methodology such as the fundamentals of research and formulating the Central Research Question

• Communication skills
• The importance of legal sources in formulating public policy
