Indo-Pacific Region (IPR) is the most contested maritime space in the world today. China’s predatory claims over the South China Sea and growing maritime influence in the Pacific and Indian Ocean Region (IOR) critically threatens freedom of navigation and maritime strategic autonomy of all  stakeholders in the region including India. In the context of this growing maritime security challenges and India’s ongoing rivalry with China, this lecture shall be critically beneficial to maritime scholars, researchers and strategic analysts. Being the Chief of Indian Navy till May 2019, Admiral Lanba’s lecture is expected to throw light on how India and regional players may negotiate this difficult maritime challenge. The webinar shall be chaired by Admiral Arun Prakash, former Chief of India Navy and a very well known maritime scholar. There will be an open 30 minutes Q&A session.
