


The countries of the Indo-Pacific including India are opposed to China’s aggressive policies, even flouting the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Laws of Seas (UNCLOS) and/or the decisions of the Permanent Court of International Court of Justice[i]. In the wake of such geo-strategic developments, regional maritime security is at the risk of being destabilized for the sake of power balance.
