CPPR Chairman D Dhanuraj was quoted in Kochi Express on the persistent concerns surrounding reckless driving, road rage and aggressive behaviour among private bus crews in Kochi, locally referred to as “bus’sault.”

Dhanuraj called for a complete overhaul of the city’s public transport system, emphasising the need to modernise buses, address timing issues faced by private bus operators, ensure better salaries and dignity for bus workers, improve roads and upgrade traffic management. He also stressed the need for practical and sustainable solutions, suggesting that officials could begin by revisiting the existing bus timing system.
