It was during the 2021-22 budget speech that the Finance Minister announced the voluntary Vehicle
Scrapping Policy. Since then, it has been the talking point in the automobile circles, manufacturers,
present and future vehicle owners, environmentalists and media to name a few. A detailed scrutiny
of the same could give a better understanding of what the policy is.
