“Problematic advertising boards that obstruct pedestrians cannot be permitted, especially given the scarcity of footpaths in the city. The location and installation of these boards should be based on scientific analysis and that they should be placed well above eye level to avoid distracting motorists.”

He was sharing his insights on the growing concerns surrounding digital ‘master boards’ in Kochi, which have triggered public complaints over pedestrian safety, visual clutter, and road-user distraction, prompting the Kochi Corporation’s Town Planning Committee to examine their legality, placement, and impact on urban mobility.
