Survey Research and Data Visualization
Course Description
The art of undertaking survey research has been developed over the past century. It needs to be continually improved and customised to ensure that the results are closest to capturing what people think and want. Surveys are a critical tool in describing the characteristics of a large population. In the Indian context, with over 1.4 billion people from different religions, castes, cultures, regions etc., survey research is a challenge. There is no other research method like survey research which can ensure accurate samples resulting in targeted results. This makes learning and finessing the survey research technique crucial and imperative in today’s contemporary world.
The Survey Research and Data Visualization in Public Policy course is focused on bringing individuals a deeper and better understanding of different concepts related to survey research. It will train the participants on ways to use Excel for sampling and methods to correct sampling errors. Finally, it will inform the individuals of the various types of surveys and their many uses in the respective context. Survey research techniques can be implemented in various sectors and fields if learnt correctly. This course will allow individuals to collect, analyse and interpret data to formulate strategies and public policy recommendations to benefit their intended target audience.
