Varsha R Dev is a Project Associate at the Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR). She holds a Master’s degree in History from the Manipal Centre for Humanities, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), and a Bachelor’s degree in History and English from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. Her research interests lie at the intersection of caste and gender, with a particular focus on the experiences of migrant caste communities in twentieth-century southern India. Through her work, Varsha aims to explore the socio-political dimensions of migration and identity formation of caste-based affinities in Indian modern history.
As a keen observer, she is particularly interested in contemporary culture and how it reflects and shapes broader societal dynamics.
Beyond her research interests, she enjoys engaging in conversations on cinema as a medium of intellectual inquiry. She has a passion for dance and enjoys outdoor activities, especially surfing and kayaking.
