Dr Gayathry Gopal

Dr Gayathry Gopal is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Relations at the KCC Institute of Law, Greater Noida. She was awarded her PhD by the Centre for South Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, and also holds an MPhil from the same centre. Her doctoral research examined India’s neighbourhood policy and the evolving geopolitics of South Asia (1998–2022), with a focus on regional power dynamics and changes in India’s regional policy.

Her MPhil research explored India–China relations in South Asia, analysing the implications for Sri Lanka’s foreign policy within the broader regional strategic environment. Her academic interests include India’s Neighbourhood Policy, South Asian geopolitics, Maritime Diplomacy, Regional security, and Foreign Policy Analysis.
