The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), in association with Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR), organised the Post Budget Analysis Session on Union Budget 2024-25: “Critical Analysis and Way Forward for Indian Economy” on July 24, 2024. Geojit Financial Services Ltd. and Interceptor Security & Allied Services were supporting partners.

Prof. C Veeramani (Director of Centre for Development Studies) gave a macro analysis of the budget. He opined that the context of this budget is a stable economic context with low core inflation, stable foreign reserves and a steady growth rate and that the two main challenges we face are employment creation and poor exports.

The analysis session was an insightful one with experts CMA Sony Mathew (Senior Market Strategist at Geojit Financial Services Ltd.), CA Priya Narayanan L (Partner at Deloitte) and CA Regi Tom Antony (Managing Partner at Regi Tom Antony & Associates) sharing their thoughts on budget perspectives on the market and direct and indirect taxes.
