Talk on Reforms for Better Public Service Delivery
Centre for Public Policy Research organises a talk on ‘Reforms for Better Public Services Delivery‘ by Bhuvana Anand (Payments and Governance Research Unit, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL)) on March 2, 2017 from 4 pm to 5.30 pm at the CPPR office in Kochi.
The talk will focus on public services delivery and the reforms required to improve the services.
About the speaker
Bhuvana Anand is a governance and public policy specialist. She leads the Payments and Governance Research Unit at MIT’s Poverty Action Lab (JPAL South Asia). Her experience spans working with donors and civil society organisations in Sudan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, India and the United States, in policy advocacy, managing multi-pronged programmes as well as in research capacities. She has university and graduate level training in economics and politics, including coursework in political economy, public policy and principles of law. She received a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and her bachelor’s from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai. She previously worked with the British Government’s Department for International Development, Centre for Civil Society and the UN.
