The Kerala Liquor Policy 2023-24 aims to improve the state’s revenue and employment opportunities by promoting and branding Kerala toddy, providing pub licenses in IT parks and Industrial Estates etc. The discussion critically evaluates the policy and helps listeners to understand the opportunities and challenges in the policy in its implementation. The policy is also analysed from a gender perspective highlighting the discriminatory provisions in the excise laws that require changes.
