The Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) is hosting an online book discussion on “Assam: Inside and Outside” authored by K V Thomas, Former Asst Director, IB, MHA, & Senior Fellow (Internal Security & Extremism), CPPR, and published by Manas Publications in 2024.
About the Book
The book “Assam: Inside and Outside” published by Manas Publications in 2024, unfolds a myriad of historic, demographic, ethnic, cultural and insurgency related developments in Assam and its effect on entire north-eastern states. It lays down a set of suggestions/recommendations focusing on the socio-economic development of the state. A unique feature of this book is that the author by virtue of his decade-long association with the State during the peak years of Assam movement (1978-1983) and turbulent days of insurgency (1989- 1993) could incorporate his first-hand experience and ground level inputs in this book through interaction with a wide spectrum of persons associated with various movements and struggles.
The book is available on Amazon and Flipkart
