Manoj P.V brings over 35 years of experience in public service with the Government of India, including key diplomatic assignments at the Embassy of India in Beijing and the Consulate General of India in Guangzhou, where he served for a total of seven years. During his tenure in China, he engaged extensively with government officials, Communist Party representatives, scholars, think tanks, and academic leaders, as well as cultural and religious organisations.

He played an important role in strengthening India–China cultural engagement by organising a range of India-focused initiatives, including yoga festivals, seminars, and cultural showcases that highlighted the depth and diversity of Indian heritage.

His long-standing engagement with China has provided him with nuanced insights into the country’s domestic politics and foreign policy, particularly in the context of India–China relations. His on-ground experience has also enabled a deeper understanding of Chinese society, including public perceptions of India, with a special emphasis on cultural linkages such as Buddhism.
