COVID-19 or Coronavirus disease as it is commonly known has caused unprecedented devastation across the world impacting lives, livelihoods and economies and has led to a staggering loss of human lives. The COVID-19 citizens' survey initiated by the researchers at Centre for Public Policy Research will enable us to gain a deeper insight into the public knowledge and understanding of the crisis and people’s response to emerging challenges. The study will help us assess the impact of the nationwide lockdown on the lives of Indian citizens. As a new world order emerges, there will be a compelling need for informed policies and a strategic allocation of resources based on the lessons derived from the COVID-19 pandemic. With the COVID-19 citizens' survey we hope to contribute to this growing reservoir of knowledge and conduct an independent study of the impact of the pandemic on India and its people
