The first meeting in the series will take place on 27 Feb 2020 in partnership with Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth.
Personal Data Protection Bill is a new bill introduced in the Parliament of India,  specifically aiming to protect informational privacy of individuals.  An expert committee led by Justice B N Shrikrishna following the judgement of Indian Supreme Court in Puttaswamy v/s UOI, worked on this new law.  The discussion will focus on:
  • Standards used for regulating Cross Border Data Transfer
  • Standards used when governments outsource their data processing works
  • Capacity of the individuals to contest with big service providers in dispute resolution systems.
  • Compatibility of the bill provisions with the advancement of technology
