The CPPR Centre for Strategic Studies (CSS) aims to identify the strategic significance of India from a global perspective, and the role it plays in world affairs. The shifts in foreign policy with an emphasis on hard and soft power linkages will be the thrust areas of the centre. The centre will probe the implications of increasing global inter-dependence and foreign relations on India.

CSS envisages to come up with recommendations to ameliorate the discourse on strategic issues to enhance India’s global presence. This will be done with a qualitative analysis of past, present and potential strategies for developing relevant policy documents.
