ADR Centre, the dispute resolution wing of Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR), Kochi, conducted a two-day certified training programme on Commercial Dispute Resolution in the South Indian cities of Bengaluru (January 20 & 21, 2017), Chennai (January 23 & 24, 2017) and Kochi (January 30 & 31, 2017). Experienced and qualified trainers in negotiation and mediation,Paul Randolph (Barrister/Mediator at Field Court Chambers, United Kingdom) and Spenser Hilliard (Mediator at Field Court Chambers, United Kingdom) handled the sessions. The programme was supported by the British Deputy High Commission, Chennai.
CPPR, as part of its initiatives in Ease of Doing Business, plans to equip people in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala on dealing with commercial disputes more effectively through alternate methods. Professionals from leading companies, head of legal departments, lawyers and chartered accountants were among the participants of the workshop.
