CPPR, through its Academy, offers training and development opportunities in the form of internships, short-term courses and workshops to undergraduate, graduate students and mid-career professionals looking to engage with the public policy space.


CPPR Internship in Public Policy Research
A highly rigorous and competitive programme which spans 45 – 180 days. During this period, interns get an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training by working on live projects under CPPR.

CPPR Public Policy Research Methods School
A two-week capsule workshop that imparts research skills: qualitative and quantitative to undergraduate, graduate students and mid-career professionals. Conducted in partnership with Atlas Leadership Academy, the programme, as so far hosted 49 participants from 35 countries.

Semester at Sea (SAS) programme
Every year, for the past six years, CPPR hosts students of SAS, a unique, multiple country study-abroad programme which is conducted aboard a ship that docks at several locations during the course period. During their time in Kochi, CPPR co-hosts a module with SAS. The University of Virginia is the programme’s academic sponsor.

CPPR’s Finishing School for Law
The programme aims to instil in freshly graduated law students the confidence and courage they need to start a new career. In its third installment, the finishing School aims to polish students up on the finer points of social life which is just as important as the academic rigour they are put through in law school.
