The paper series ‘Right to Food, Food Security & Women: Rural Urban Contrast’ will engage with the way the policies of food security are theorized, implemented and it will analyze the effects of the policies on women. By a comparative sketch of the rural and urban households and the community responses, the paper will study the differentiated gender role in issues concerning the food security and the available policy formulations and the alternatives.
