Inauguration of CPPR-ACE Summer School

	The CPPR - ACE Summer School 2012 in Research Methodology for Public Policy Researchers, jointly conducted by the Centre for Public Policy Research, Cochin, and the Asia Centre for Enterprise, was inaugurated by Shri. Devi Prasad IES,
(Director, the Fiscal Policy Institute, & Head of the Fiscal Policy Analysis Cell, Govt. of Karnataka) on the 30th of April 2012 with a welcome dinner followed by an interactive session with the audience. Shri. Devi Prasad engaged the participants in a lively debate on the policy perspectives related to governmental action.

Inaugural of International Summer School: Public Policy Research Methods

The inaugural Summer School on Policy Research Methods is set to commence on Monday the 29th, April 2012. The Summer School attracts policy researchers from the countries of India, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia and Nepal. The Course is set to offer an unique experience to researchers from different fields and thought through a mix of theoretical and practical insights into Research and methodology.

Visit by Canadian High Commissioner

High Commissioner for Canada in India, Mr Stewart Beck visited Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) on April 3, 2012. The visit was to understand the work of a policy think tank in Kerala and analyse the development patterns of a state considered to be a model in different sectors. Mr D. Dhanuraj, Chairman of CPPR gave insights on Kerala’s high standards in Human Development Index, Literacy levels, education and health.

CPPR-ACE Summer School: Public Policy Research Methods

Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) and is proud to launch the ‘CPPR-ACE Summer School: Public Policy Research Methods' in 2012. The first program of the Summer School will be a month-long training on Public Policy Research Methods for researchers from around Asia. The objective of the program is to equip researchers with the necessary tools and techniques to produce outstanding research in terms of both originality of thought and approach.

Course Period: 29 April-25 May 2012
Venue: Cochin, Kerala, India
Course Fee: US$ 1500 which includes tuition fees and accommodation and living expenses. Scholarships and travel grants are available for deserving candidates.
