CPPR promotes youth collectives namely "Open Forum" in college campuses. It provides a platform for young people to express their thoughts on the happenings around them. Open Forum helps to build an active, responsible and dynamic community responding to situations of day-to-day life by engaging the student fraternity in academic research on various local social issues, talks on various topics, public debates and the like.
TEA TIME CHAT
CPPR organizes informal sessions as a part of its youth development programmes. These informal meetings are led by renowned policy makers, academicians, politicians, actors, artists and social workers.
The chat is conducted to inspire participants towards greater learning and encourage free flow of new and creative ideas. In the process, they are motivated towards voicing their opinion on various issues that are relevant in society today. These debates and discussions are done in an informal style (over a cup of tea).
Weekend Research
CPPR invites students and youth to conduct research on socio - economic issues relevant to their own localities and communities. This initiative is carried out to encourage young budding researchers to engage in a research project that can be completed over a weekend and then be published in leading publications.
The choice of topic of study is usually left to the person undertaking the study under the guidance of the research team. This would enhance one's critical thinking capacity as it would be coupled with both primary and secondary data.
